The German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG) is an academic institute and think tank situated within the Faculty of Law at Thammasat University in Bangkok. Established in 2009 through a collaborative effort between German universities (Frankfurt and Münster) and Thammasat University, CPG operates at the intersection of public law and international relations, with a regional focus on Asia.

Job description

CPG is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Academic Consultant/Coordinator for a workshop series on labor rights within the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework in Thailand. This position involves close collaboration with assigned CPG staff members and relevant Thai stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in curriculum development and workshop content creation.
  • Liaising with potential speakers and participants to secure their involvement.
  • Managing communication with attendees, speakers, and partners.
  • Providing translation services during workshop sessions when necessary.
  • Recording meeting minutes and generating reports on workshop outcomes.
  • Collecting feedback and assessing the impact of the workshops.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills in both Thai and English (Fluency in Thai and English is a must).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in coordinating workshops or events is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for advancing ESG awareness and knowledge is a plus.

Work Arrangement: The ideal candidate is encouraged to join CPG at its offices at Thammasat University’s Tha Phra Chan campus. However, a hybrid or fully virtual work arrangement can be discussed, accommodating the candidate’s preferences and circumstances.

Immediate Start Date: This is an immediate start position.

Honorarium: This is an honorarium position with compensation of THB 25,000 per workshop.
