Batongbacal from the College of Law of the University of the Philippines, and moderators Prof. Dr. Jan Asmussen, Senior Research Fellow, CPG, and Political Scientist at the Institute of Social Science, University of Kiel, and Dr. Duc Quang Ly, Project Manager, CPG, for their invaluable insights at the online panel discussion “Contested Waters: Trends and Dynamics in Indo-Pacific Maritime Security“, hosted by CPG’s Peace & Security Center (CPSC) on March 28, 2024.

Their different angles on the state of affairs and pressing issues in maritime security in the Indo-Pacific gave a great basis for a highly informative and interesting event.

We extend our gratitude further to CPG’s Senior Research Fellows former Thai Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya, former Thai Ambassador Dr. Warawit Kanithasen, Major General Ashok Kumar Hukku, Prof. Baoyun Yang, and Dr. Rahul Mishra for their participation and interventions, as well as to all AiR and EiR contributors and participants.

This event was a part of the monthly event series on peace and security in Asia of the CPSC.
