Course Overview
This half-day executive education course is designed for senior leaders and decision-makers, particularly from the business sector, who seek a solid and reliable understanding of the political landscape in the People’s Republic of China.
Building on a systematic exploration of China’s power architecture and its key political actors, the course focuses on the current political dynamics at the core of the regime—dynamics often perceived as opaque and difficult to assess from a business perspective. The course provides insights into recent developments, key strategic orientations, and potential future scenarios—all highly relevant to market analysis, risk assessment, and long-term strategic positioning.
The content is based on years of in-depth experience, continuous monitoring, and regular exchange with on-the-ground experts and stakeholders—including diplomats, business leaders, military officials, and analysts—and is continuously updated to reflect the evolving situation.
A key component of the course is the exploration of plausible political trajectories for China and the assessment of their implications for international business.
The objective is to equip economic decision-makers with a robust situational understanding that enables strategic action under complex and uncertain geopolitical conditions.

By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- Decode the internal logic and institutional configuration of the Chinese political system;

- Identify internal sources of stress—economic, social, ideological—and how they shape China’s external posture;
- Make sense of China’s political behavior in global markets, diplomacy, and regulation; and
- Enhance strategic positioning when working with or around Chinese state actors, firms, or policy environments.

This compact executive briefing offers a strategic deep dive into the political system at the heart of the People’s Republic of China and, most important, its hidden trajectories. Participants will gain:

A clear overview of China’s core power architecture—formal institutions, informal mechanisms, central decision-making structures. - Key Actors and Alignments
Insight into key political actors and networks, including party leadership, the military, and the state bureaucracy. Understanding contending elite networks and how their interests align or conflict. - Current Power Dynamics
Updated analysis of ongoing internal power struggles, tactical maneuvering, and strategic realignments within the regime. - Scenario Building
Exploration of plausible short- and medium-term development paths, grounded in political logic and real-time observation. - Strategic Interpretation Skills
Tools to better read, interpret, and assess political signals, developments, and information flows coming from within China.

The course is offered at the following standard rates:

- Early bird price: EUR 629.00 (for registrations completed at least four weeks before the course start date)
