On July 1, 2025, CPG’s Program Manager and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Asia in Review, Lucas Meier, contributed to the July edition of the Geopolitics Today Discussion Series organized by the Asia-Pacific Security Innovation Forum and Center of Excellence (COE).

Held under the theme “Anchoring Berlin in the Indo-Pacific: What Role for Germany in Tomorrow’s Asia?”, the discussion featured exchanges on Germany’s evolving engagement in the Indo-Pacific. Lucas Meier joined Major General (Ret.) Gert-Johannes Hagemann (European Union) in the dialogue, which was moderated by Brett Murphy.

The session opened with remarks by Prof. Dr. Anita Abbott, Patron and Chair of the Asia-Pacific Security Innovation Forum, and included participation from distinguished experts, including Lieutenant General (Ret.) Francesco Diella of the Italian Army.
