Today marked the beginning of a four-day intensive program on “Conflict and Conflict Settlement in a World of Change”, organized by CPG for an interdisciplinary study group from George Mason University, one of CPG’s MoU partners.

The program opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Amnart Tangkiriphimarn, Assistant Professor and Vice Dean for International Affairs at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Law, CPG Director Henning Glaser, and Dr. Roland Wilson, Program Coordinator, Professor, and faculty advisor for the School for Analysis of Conflict and Resolution at George Mason University’s campus in South Korea.

Following the orientation, Henning Glaser delivered a lecture titled “The Rise of Conflict in a Shifting World System.” His talk focused on the transformation of the global system, mega trends, the increasing likelihood of conflict, and potential tipping points within the world system.

In the afternoon, the study group was hosted by the Office of the Administrative Courts of Thailand, a longstanding and close partner of CPG. The visit included a briefing on the application of mediation in the Administrative Courts and a guided tour of the court building.
