Study Guidance & Counselling

We act as a center for student guidance and counselling with respect to legal and governance studies abroad as well as studies in Germany, and we are happy to advise you on your individual study plans.

With the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), we advise students comprehensively, providing information on suitable study programs, universities, and faculties, as well as language requirements. We inform students which particular universities – big or small, famous or aspiring – are the most suitable for the students’ ambitions and ideas. Regardless of academic institution aspirations, we encourage all interested students to conduct prior research in the DAAD database:

We advise on scholarships and funding opportunities, including DAAD scholarships, as well as those of other organizations such as political foundations. Moreover, we offer information on the costs of living (accommodation, transport, food, etc.) in selected German cities. We also establish contacts to CPG and DAAD alumni to facilitate the exchange of experiences and tips. Funding opportunities and scholarships can be researched in the funding database, offered by the DAAD:

Preparation for Studies in Germany

We actively support students to prepare themselves for their studies in Germany. In this regard, we recommend books and literature on German law and the German language. We also provide information on language courses and institutes in Germany.

Moreover, on a case-by-case basis, we may also help students with establishing contacts to German universities and professors and to facilitate the search for accommodation in the respective city.

We assist students with the preparation of all necessary documents for visa applications at the German Embassy.

We are also happy to inform about life in Germany, German culture, food, weather, costs of living and other important things to know when in Germany. You may also find useful information on the DAAD’s website “Study in Germany”:
