We are pleased to officially announce the Thailand Rail & Connectivity Brief, a new monthly newsletter that CPG, together with its corporate arm Dynamic Minds, has been producing in partnership with the German-Thai Railway Association (GTRA) since July. With the August edition distributed to GTRA members earlier today, the Brief is now in its second issue.
Thailand’s transport and connectivity agenda reaches well beyond individual infrastructure projects. The country’s geographic position, industrial base, ports, and transport networks connect it both with continental Southeast Asia and with major routes toward China in the north and Malaysia in the south. How these networks develop will have a direct bearing on Thailand’s competitiveness, its attractiveness as an investment location, and its position within regional production, trade, and logistics networks.
Understanding this landscape requires close attention to where projects actually stand: what remains a proposal, what has received formal approval, what has entered procurement or construction, and what is already operational. It also requires an understanding of how individual projects relate to one another and to the regional networks developing around Thailand.
Against this background, the Thailand Rail & Connectivity Brief provides a clear and reliable picture of significant developments and how they fit together. Each issue follows developments in railways, transport infrastructure, logistics, connectivity, mobility policy, public investment, and related fields. It distinguishes plans and announcements from formal decisions, assesses how far major projects have progressed toward implementation and operation, and places individual developments in their broader national, regional, and international context.
We are particularly pleased to be developing the Brief together with GTRA, a partner with substantial expertise and deep roots in the German-Thai railway community. We thank GTRA for the trust it has placed in CPG and look forward to continuing and further developing our collaboration.
The Thailand Rail & Connectivity Brief is also available for institutional licensing. If your association, company, chamber, professional network, or other organization is interested in making the Brief available to its members, staff, or stakeholders, we would be pleased to hear from you and discuss licensing options.
