Yesterday afternoon, ‘CPG’s Mediation Center’ (CMC), in collaboration with the ‘Asian Governance Foundation (AGF)’ and the ‘World Association of PPP Units & Professionals’, hosted a webinar on “Dispute Avoidance in PPP Contexts: Deal Mediation in Infrastructure Projects.”

The webinar featured Jean-Christophe Barth-Coullaré, Executive Director of the World Association of PPP Units & Professionals, and a 2024 Judge Weinstein JAMS Foundation International Fellow. In his talk, Jean-Christophe emphasized the benefits of mediation as a method to manage relationships in Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to prevent conflicts. In doing so, it resonated with CMC’s long-term project exploring the use of mediation as a proactive and preventive tool in pre-conflict settings.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Jean-Christophe Barthand also appreciate all participants who actively engaged and posed valuable questions during the open forum session. Special thanks go to AGF Board Members in attendance, including Pol. Lt-Gen. Suthin Khiewratana, former Commander of the Thai Border Patrol Police, as well as Thaevan Uthaivat, a Member of the CMC’s Distinguished Expert Panel.
